Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced QA/QC Welding Inspector to support quality assurance and control activities for fabrication, production, construction, and installation works. The role ensures all welding-related activities comply with project specifications, codes, and standards, while driving continuous improvement and safeguarding HSSE, quality, cost, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the QA/QC Supervisor in daily quality surveillance and inspection activities.
Conduct welding inspections before, during, and after fabrication and installation in accordance with approved ITPs and specifications.
Witness and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT).
Ensure compliance with procedures for material storage, consumable control, joint preparation, fit-up, welding parameters, and repairs.
Identify potential non-conformances, raise Corrective Action Requests (CAR), and ensure timely closeout.
Coordinate with EPCI contractors to track and resolve quality issues efficiently.
Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure quality deliverables align with site execution schedules.
Participate in toolbox meetings, proactively report unsafe acts/conditions, and apply Quality Lessons Learned in the field.

Technical Expertise

In-depth knowledge of welding inspection methods, QA/QC processes, and quality documentation.
Familiarity with NDT techniques (UT, RT, MT/PT, PAUT) and quality audits.
Skilled in reviewing and verifying compliance with method statements, procedures, and inspection/testing requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years’ experience in welding inspection and QA/QC surveillance.
Certified Welding Inspector (ISO9712, CSWIP 3.1, CWI, or equivalent).
NDT experience is an advantage.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills with a focus on HSSE and quality.
