Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician and Instrumentation Engineer with extensive experience in oil and gas operations. The successful candidate will support onshore and offshore teams, optimize production processes, and ensure safe and efficient operations through robust instrumentation and flow measurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production and instrumentation engineering guidance to onshore and offshore teams.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Fire & Gas mapping, and Safety Case reviews.
- Evaluate flow measurement performance to optimize production and reduce costs.
- Assist personnel in calibrating and adjusting flow measurement and instrumentation systems.
- Conduct on-site inspections and testing of equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with departments to collect production data and insights.
- Support Management of Change process development and implementation.
- Assist in preparing and executing facility plans for oil and gas production instrumentation and metering.
- Maintain accurate documentation and promote innovation in measurement technologies.
Technical Expertise - Strong knowledge of instrumentation and flow measurement systems in oil and gas.
- Experience with safety and process reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and F&G mapping.
- Proficient in equipment calibration, testing, and facility maintenance planning.
- Skilled in computer applications and engineering tools.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and effective team collaborator.
