Job Summary
Our client is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Quality Inspector (NDT) to support quality assurance and control activities onsite. The successful candidate will perform inspections and surveillance related to NDT methods during fabrication, production, construction, and installation to ensure full compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. This role requires expertise in AUT, PAUT, UT, RT, and other NDT techniques to maintain quality and safety standards in a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the QA/QC Supervisor in daily execution of quality assurance and control surveillance and inspections.
  • Conduct general surveillance, verification, and testing of AUT/NDT activities before, during, and after work execution, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Witness and verify the accuracy of NDT testing procedures, execution, and results evaluation in accordance with ITP, codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Monitor calibration and validity of AUT/NDT apparatus to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Identify potential non-conformances, recommend improvements, and issue Corrective Action Requests (CAR) with timely follow-up for closeout.
  • Ensure that all quality deliverables such as ITPs, procedures, training, and certifications align with site work schedules.
  • Coordinate with EPCI Contractors to manage quality interfaces and resolve issues promptly to safeguard HSSE, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Attend toolbox meetings regularly and proactively report unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Support risk management by implementing Quality Lessons Learned on site.

Technical Expertise
  • Extensive knowledge of quality assurance surveillance and NDT testing techniques including PAUT, UT, RT, MT, and PT.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply method statements, inspection and testing plans (ITP), and project specifications.
  • Skilled in performing audits and surveillance inspections to verify compliance with quality requirements.
  • Proficient in monitoring and verifying equipment calibration and test results accuracy.
     
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance surveillance and NDT inspection.
  • Certified ISO9712 / PCN / ACCP / ASNT NDT Level 2 in PAUT, UT, and RT (PCN 3.4, CSWIP 3.2.2 or equivalent).
  • Additional certifications in MT, PT, and welding inspection (ISO9712 / CSWIP 3.1.1, CWI or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • Proven track record in quality audits and surveillance inspections.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site teams and contractors.
